I was talking with my boy last night and he was telling me a story about one of his friends and this crazy chick he met on line. I don't really know the guy he was talking about, nor do I know the girl so I can't give you much background on either. That's unimportant, the important question is who falls in love faster, men or women? Now, I understand that's a huge question and a lot of factors go into "falling in love," but who jumps first?
Women that fall in love are considered to be too "emotional" or "clingy." Men that fall in love are labeled "soft" or a "punk" by their boys.
I love the idea of falling in love. Love is a fool, it makes you do things you never thought you'd do. So I'm not saying it's a bad thing just wanted to ask the question. Let me know what you think...

i would say, generally speaking, women fall first or at least share that they've fallen first....and i think that's because women communicate their feelings more openly than men (naturally...it's just the way we're made). :)
i, personally, like to take things slow and want to know in my heart and soul that whay i'm feeling is true, especially before i share verbally. i truly enjoy the part of really getting to know someone on all levels in a relationship....and i think that falling in love is something that MUST take time. like Diana Ross said, "you can't hurry love"! haha
my biggest fear about falling in love and being the first to share that i've fallen is that it isn't/won't be reciprocated.....not a good feeling!

I'm only joking. "Smashing" as you so eloquently put it is ok for a while but that gets old. Falling in love is natural and when it happens there will be nothing you can do about it player!!

Because a lot of guys are super clingy and scare the woman off earlier on. Puppy Love.
In a more serious relationship the woman would fall first. But the man could be better at holding back his clingy or mushiness.
