So a friend of mine that I work with was telling me about a girl his friend met on match.com. He said they went out a couple times but she lived almost an hour away so it made it hard for the two of them to meet up.
After a few dates my friend said his friend emailed the girl and said he didn't think it was going to work out...oh another important detail is the girl asked the guy how come after a few dates why they hadn't had sex (RED FLAG).
Moving forward after the girl read the nice, polite and honest email the girl SNAPPED!!! She wrote him back and called him every name in the book he said..haha.
So ZamFam my question to you is, does internet dating ever REALLY work? I wanna hear the success stories and the horror stories.
Who's first?

I have never participated in Internet Dating... but a good friend of mine met her current boyfriend on match.com. She was on the site for about 3 months, went out about 8 dates and then met her current guy. They have been together for over a year and have recently moved in together. Happy as clams. (I assume clams are pretty happy)
I'm in a relationship, but if it doesnt work out then I would probably try online dating. I would assume that honesty in your profile is your best bet to making it work. After a certain age, where do you meet good guys/girls? Online seems somewhat doable and just like anywhere else you would have to filter through a few.
I think online dating works for people that are not really social. People are a lot more confident behind a computer screen they can be whoever they dream they are,and its easier to write what you are feeling then to actually talk to a person.
Also people have to be truthful on them sites, you can't send someone a picture of yourself 2 years previous and 30 pounds lighter. That is wrong, then when I see you and i am turned off and you get mad. And finally there should be a box listed as CRAZY with the choices YES, SLIGHTY, WHEN I DRINK, AND NO.
hahahaha...TwoScoops you are on a roll!!!!
i think the problem with dating in general is people get to caught up in labels and what their lame ass friends have to say. Online dating can be risky bc like Chris Rock said, "you're meeting their representative." TwoScoops said it perfect, people are really confident when they have the comfort of a computer screen. I say just hit the streets and find someone great. The best way to meet someone when you're out is be yourself from jump and be honest. NO corny one liners, come correct!
